Across the state of Kentucky, there are more than 300,000 individuals with an intellectual or developmental disability.  That’s nearly 16% of our state’s population that is in need of assistance and guidance in order to live a full and meaningful life.  Unfortunately, many individuals are not able to take advantage of the resources available to them because they simply are unaware of their existence.

Federal Medicaid, administered by the Kentucky Department of Medicaid, offers a variety of “waivers” which are specifically designed to assist those with developmental and acquired  disabilities in Kentucky.  These waivers, which do not all depend upon qualifying for Medicaid medical coverage, can assist individuals of any age by providing resources and programming to help them maximize their abilities and actively       participate in their community.

Designed specifically for Kentucky residents, Waiver Navigator provides the resources and assistance necessary to navigate the often confusing and complicated world of assistance services.
