From A Sunday School dream to a thriving community of joy and purpose.

A Dream Takes Root
Over 30 years ago, a group of Sunday School teachers imagined something beautiful:
“What if these amazing people had a place to grow, thrive, and be loved – every day, not just Sundays?”
That dream became Quest Farm. With a leap of faith, Joe and June Richey left their jobs, raised $50,000 (with the help from a surprise check from Oklahoma!), and opened the first home on a quiet 26-acre farm in Scott County, Kentucky.

Building a Community
We started with 3 residents in one farmhouse grew quickly. By 1988, we had three homes full of laughter, purpose, and belonging.

Expanding the Mission
As our community grew, so did the need. We began offering day programs, job training, and community-based supports–not just for those who live at Quest, but for anyone in Central Kentucky Looking for independence, connection, and joy.
Still on a Quest
Today, our mission remains as strong as ever:
We’re here to put quality into the lives of people with disabilities–and do it with love, joy, and purpose.
